Deep Thoughts
Been wondering about life recently. About all this competition in life. Endless competition. I had always been taught to strive to be the first. Fengshan is a competitive school. Nothing matters as much as winning. I learnt that from the start.
But have I been learning the right thing?
Sure, winning is important. Acheiving is important. But is it all there is in life?
I've always thought that you controlled your life, and you had to control it a certain way; be the first, do all it takes, and more.
But now, that's different.
Ever heard of fate? I believe our lives are led by God, to a certain extent, but He still loves us, so we will all be important. Without one of us, the world will be changed.
For example, I may be a road cleaner one day. So I will help the environment, and my life will not be wasted. I may be a beggar one day. So I will help arouse sympathy among people, leading to more being done for the needy.
The road has been chosen by God, but it has splits, and crossroads. Those are the choices we make.
Which means don't stress yourselves out being the top. For all you know, God has a different plan for you. Just work hard. Not too hard.
This is my view of life. This is how I remain sane in a time of insanity. This is how I remain cool in an age of haste. This is how I remain laid-back, just enough, in an era of stress.
This is how I live.
